Brief History of the School
San
Juan Academy Inc. is a private secondary school founded in 1948, located in Don
Victorino St., Sara, Iloilo. It was founded and owned by a group of
enterprising men coming from different fields of endeavours – some from the
Academe, others from business sector, others were farm owners, two from the
medical profession and the other two from the government services, but in 1955,
Leon Devera(a farm owner), Agapito Devera and Felipe Parcon(a teacher) bought
all the shares of stockholders, turning the school into a family corporation.
Today, the directress of the school is Ms. Lirio D. Parcon and Ms. Alma C.
Devera as the principal. San Juan Academy had for its major objective the
provision of affordable private secondary school education to the youth of Sara
and the neighboring municipalities.

institution with a culture of excellence that will develop a morally upright,
disciplined, civic conscious, vocationally efficient, academically prepared and
intellectually competitive individuals.
Mission
Deliver
basic and quality education in order to produce individuals who are
functionally literate, imbued with wholesome values and attitudes and equipped
with skills to prepare for a purposeful and productive life.
Objectives

discipline, civic conscience and vocational efficiency among young men and
women.
